Meet Margaret!
Hi! My name is Margaret Gartlgruber. If you are like me, being a stay-at-home mom was never in the plan. I went to college fully expecting to have a career, and I had no problem with the idea of daycare.
Until my first baby was born.
Called from Career to Cradle!
However, I felt more strongly that I did not want anyone else to take care of my kid. In tears, I shared this with my husband. My world changed he responded:
“You don’t have to go back to work, you know. My mom stayed home with me when I was a kid. It was great. We will figure out how to manage.”
I had only an inkling of God in those days. As a baptized Catholic, I did the basics. I knew I was “supposed” to follow His will for my life. But not having a “job”? Was this really what God wanted of me?
